Give your dog a full day of exercise, fresh air and supervised play in a secure farm environment designed for comfort and safety.
Bowlin Farms has been a family-owned farm for over forty years, rooted in the land and community of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Our passion for our own dogs led us to do something different with the farm: we took a portion of our land and devoted it entirely to our canine companions.
At Bowlin Farms Doggie Adventures, your dog will have the opportunity to roam kennel-free throughout the day, exploring three fully fenced yards, all with direct access to the building. Each section has fresh water refreshed throughout the day, shady areas for rest, and custom-built dog beds for napping. In summer, we even bring out the pools.
We treat every dog as an individual, allowing them to adjust and become confident in daycare life at their own pace. Our staff come from a variety of backgrounds, with most having experience and education based around dog behaviour or training. All staff members complete their Pet First Aid through St John Ambulance.
This is not a facility. It is a farm that became a family because of the dogs.

"My dog has been coming here for six years. She is always tired when she gets home, which tells me everything. The staff are kind, attentive, and clearly love what they do."
"After moving from Newfoundland we struggled to find a daycare we truly trusted. Then we found Bowlin Farms and have not looked back. Luna always comes home worn out and happy."
"Staff know every single dog, who they play well with, who needs space. Monty gets a report card at pickup. It has done wonders for his confidence. Fast asleep before I leave the car park."
"I have two high-energy breeds that other daycares could not handle. Bowlin Farms has the actual space to let them run. Clean grounds, genuine staff, and they post photos daily. Highly recommend."
"Real socialization and exercise, not just bathroom breaks between concrete walls. Staff are excellent, grounds are spacious. Book by the hour or the full day. An exceptional facility."
"Visiting from PEI and arranged a play day at the farm while I was downtown. Staff gave us a full tour on arrival and I left completely confident my pup was in safe hands. Outstanding."
Our staff are passionate animal people. Most hold education in dog behaviour, animal sciences, or veterinary care, and every single one completes Pet First Aid training through St John Ambulance.
Samantha has been with the daycare since the very beginning. She has a personal connection with each dog that comes through the front door, always treating them like they are her own. Sam has trained miniature horses her whole life, which makes her comfortable with dogs of all shapes, sizes and energy levels. She holds pet first aid from St. John Ambulance and has a keen eye for dog behaviour.
Brittany holds a Bachelor of Science (Agr.) from NSAC, majoring in Animal Sciences with a focus on animal health, behaviour and nutrition. She has always had a special touch for connecting with shy pets. Over seven years with the team, she has grown with the company through many big changes. She shares her life with a boxer named Bandit and a pony named Ruby.
Sarah joined the team in the summer of 2021 while completing hours for her vet assistant course and has been here ever since. Her love for animals started young, and she currently cares for a 12-year-old cat named Lily and two hamsters, Nimby and Alfy. She is looking forward to getting a pup of her own one day, but for now she shares her puppy love with all of her daycare friends.
Janice has always had a passion for animal welfare and has been working with animals professionally for over 10 years, including the past several years at Bowlin Farms. In her spare time she loves being outdoors with her own pups, Lux and Stanley, who you will often see trotting around the daycare right alongside her.
We are continuing to support people looking to extend their education in animal services. Bowlin Farms accepts volunteers and students from various education programs across the HRM. You may see different faces around the facility as a result, and we are proud to be part of their journey into animal care.
All dogs must be fully vaccinated before their first visit. Bring current records to your assessment. No exceptions.
Dogs are monitored at all times during outdoor play and indoor rest. Staff maintain consistent group oversight throughout every session.
Every team member holds pet first aid certification and is trained in canine behaviour recognition for any situation.
Three fully fenced outdoor yards with secure entry and exit gates. No dog can wander beyond their designated play zone.
Bowlin Farms has been the trusted choice of Nova Scotia dog owners for over forty years. Open Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. New clients can book an assessment directly online.
